Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) Coordinator
The Salvation Army – Dane County is accepting applications for Emergency Disaster Services Coordinator. This position is part time at 20 hours per week and includes vacation/personal/sick time off.
The EMS Coordinator responds to emergency and disaster situations as requested by local governmental agencies, The Salvation Army-Dane County or The Salvation Army- Wisconsin Upper Michigan Division. Among other duties, the Coordinator maintains the EDS Canteen and associated equipment and supplies in readiness. The Coordinator recruits, trains and schedules volunteers for EDS.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required along with the ability to use a computer and a working knowledge of Word. Experience with emergency disaster work is a plus.
The coordinator must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with clearance to drive by The Salvation Army’s insurance carrier.
